Smith earned a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University and an M.A.R. from Westminster Theological Seminary, with an emphasis on apologetics and biblical languages, and is a PhD candidate. He served as ABR's Director of Development from 2005 to 2015. In the field he volunteered at Hazor and served as a square supervisor at Khirbet el-Maqatir and at Shiloh.
Major Works and Contributions
Smith leads ABR's Genesis 5 and 11 Genealogy and Chronology Research Project, which argues for the chronology preserved in the Septuagint's genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11. His articles include "The Case for the Septuagint's Chronology in Genesis 5 and 11" and "Primeval Chronology Restored."
